The Ruse "Light In Motion"
Alternative new-comers, The Ruse, are out to make a statement in the indie rock world. Their sound is not incredibly ordinary and their debut album showcases what they are all about. Think David Gray or Aqualung meets someone like Better Than Ezra or Train. They have a spacey mellow sound coupled with an alternative rock style that is unique and intriguing. The first couple of tracks have you reeled in by their wow factor. This wow factor has you listening to each and every component of their music from the instrumentation to the vocals to the way the singer sings to the unique instances and changes of sound happening right before your ears. 'Light You Up' is one of the best songs, and feature a more harder rock sound than some of the opening tracks. It gets you pumped and you can see how you might end up hearing this song on the radio at some point. The Ruse is a promising up-and-coming rock outfit and is sure to be around for a while. Their debut album will amaze listeners and surely make them fans for life.
